A Message from the Creators

When we heard the story of Victor Torres and read his autobiography ‘Son of Evil Street’, we saw the opportunity to make an inspiring film about a real family that is rescued by their faith in an authentic way.

The book transports you to the 1960s on a teenage trip through gang life and drug addiction on the streets of New York. But it was during our meetings with Victor and his family in Richmond, VA where they established a successful rehabilitation center, when we realized that the story was much deeper and has made a lasting impact on the world today.
In the dedication of the book, Victor recognizes his dear parents for their persistent search to head their lost son to a new life. We could not be more passionate about sharing this inspiring and true story that explores the power of faith to transform a life and the courage of a mother who never loses hope for her child.
